This hardy, late-blooming, purple-flowered perennial Aster is a favorite nectar source of Monarch Butterfly and other pollinators like bees, Pearl Crescent butterfly, Gorgone Checkerspot butterfly and the Northern Flower moth. An important note is that when it goes into bloom the leaves near the bottom dry up, which is normal.
It is natively found throughout the US (except for ID, NV, AZ, TX, FL, LA). This plant thrives is most sun and soil conditions but prefers full sun and moist soil.
You will be purchasing 3, 3" plastic pots containing 3, well-rooted New England Aster plants with 1+ nodes of growth that were grown with love in Minnesota from seed.
