Our Landscaping Process
We’ll meet you at the site where you are looking to have the project completed. During this visit, we’ll discuss light needs, soil conditions, pest pressure and more. Most importantly, we’ll discuss what your vision is for the area. Your native garden or landscape should bring you joy and we’ll do our best to help achieve that. We charge $75 for this one-hour consultation. This is credited to your installation if you move forward with your garden. By the end of our consultation, we will be able to share what it will cost to provide you with a design.
Our main goal in this step is to design your native landscape so that it fits your property and achieves your vision whether it is to attract more pollinators to your yard, restore a wetland space and/or upgrade a current pollinator garden.
We’ll use our hands-on native plant expertise to create a detailed drawing that will include plant placement and plant species for your review. We will charge a design fee depending on the complexity of the project. You can expect this fee to range from $350-$1500 or more depending on the complexity and size of the project.
Below is a simple example of what an initial concept would look like. A more detailed drawing is created after the initial concept is approved.
Once the design and proposal has been approved by you, we begin the process of setting installation dates and reserving plants and materials. Most of your plants are grown by us, but we will occasionally need to source plants from other growers depending on need.
On installation day, our design and installation team prep the site and begin landscaping. Installation will take between 1-3 full days depending on project scope.
Our skilled staff typically comes to your garden monthly during the first year of native garden establishment. Our primary focus will be to keep weeds and pests at bay.
After your native landscape’s first year, our team can ensure your garden thrives through weeding, trimming, staking, mulching and cleaning as needed. We highly recommend our maintenance service for at least one growing season to give your native garden its best chance at thriving.
