If you live in a colder climate with snow and are sick of staring at a sheet of white in the winter, you'll want to add a couple of Little Bluestem to your garden. These plants turn a beautiful red and brown color during the fall, which holds through much of the winter. They also have a striking blue-green hue in the summer making for a perfect back drop to a cottage garden.
Little Bluestem not only provide contrast to your garden, but they help provide cover for pollinators and prop up flower stems due to their dense and rigid structure. We highly recommend purchasing at least two of these for your garden because of these reasons alone.
Little Bluestem is found natively throughout the US except for California, Oregon and Washington state.
You will be purchasing 3, 3" plastic pots containing 3, well-rooted Little Bluestem plants with 1+ nodes of growth that were grown with love in Minnesota from seed. We will try and provide plants with multiple nodes, but it may vary depending on availability. Pictures on this listing are not perfectly representative to what you will be receiving, however, we will do our best to get you the healthiest plant possible.
