This is the plant that inspired the creation of NewLeaves and is by-far our favorite plant we offer! The Meadow Blazingstar is a Monarch Butterfly magnet whose bright purple blooms look a little bit like muppet hair. It’s not uncommon to see a handful of Monarchs on a single strand of Meadow Blazingstar in August to gather nectar for their migration south.

These plants typically develop multiple flowering strands within their first full growing season and will reach 5-6 feet, truly becoming a beacon for attracting pollinators.

Meadow Blazingstar are natively found from the Rockies eastward to the Mississippi River, but will survive in planting zones 3-7.

You will be purchasing a 3" plastic pot containing 1, well-rooted Meadow Blazingstar plant with 1+ nodes of growth that was grown with love in Minnesota from seed. We will try and provide plants with multiple nodes, but it may vary depending on availability. Pictures on this listing are not perfectly representative to what you will be receiving, however, we will do our best to get you the healthiest plant possible.
