One of the most important early-season natives, the Ohio Spiderwort blooms in May attracting pollinators through July before most wildflowers start to bloom. Their unique, blue-green foliage is topped by striking blue flowers. Both features provide needed contrast to any pollinator garden. You won't need to re-up on these plants as they self-seed relatively easily and can be easily divided in the Spring.
Ohio Spiderwort are found natively East of the Mississippi and in CA, NE, OK, KS and TX.
