Prairie Blazingstar is a Monarch Butterfly magnet whose lavender blooms start at the top of the flower and work their way down the stem. These plants thrive when given full sun and adequate soil moisture. Without enough sun, these plants may need a garden stake to stay upright.
These plants typically develop multiple flowering strands within their first full growing season and will reach 5-6 feet, truly becoming a beacon for attracting pollinators.
Prairie Blazingstar are natively found from the Rockies eastward to the Mississippi River and in the Mid-Atlantic, but will survive in planting zones 3-9.
You will be purchasing 3, 3" plastic pots containing 3, well-rooted Prairie Blazingstar plants with 1+ nodes of growth that were grown with love in Minnesota from seed. We will try and provide plants with multiple nodes, but it may vary depending on availability. Pictures on this listing are not perfectly representative to what you will be receiving, however, we will do our best to get you the healthiest plant possible.
