Purple Poppy Mallow, known as the Winecups flower, bloom in early May with numerous magenta-colored flowers. These plants make for attractive groundcover for full sun environments, as they spread between 3-4 feet wide per plant while only reaching around 1 foot in height at maturity.

Blooms on your Purple Poppy Mallow will last from the early Summer well into the late Summer if you deadhead spent blossoms.

The Purple Poppy Mallow is a Gray Hairstreak butterfly larvae host.

You'll find the Purple Poppy Mallow natively all around the US from Minnesota to Florida, however, they typically do not survive outside of planting zones 3-8.

You will be purchasing a 3" plastic pot containing 1, well-rooted Purple Poppy Mallow plant with 1+ nodes of growth that was grown with love in Minnesota from seed. We will try and provide plants with multiple nodes, but it may vary depending on availability. Pictures on this listing are not perfectly representative to what you will be receiving, however, we will do our best to get you the healthiest plant possible.

Plants ship out on Monday through Wednesday of every week and please note that the condition of each plant BEFORE shipping will be sent to you by picture. We also encourage you to make sure that you will be home the day your package is delivered so that you can plant as soon as possible. We recommend planting the early morning or evening you receive your plant to ensure exposure to the elements is minimal. Also to note, we highly encourage that your planting area should match the desired conditions we note above. If not, we can not guarantee survival of your plant.

Shipments to California, Florida and Arizona go through extra scrutiny by each state’s USDA affiliate and Dept of Agriculture, please keep this in-mind before buying.

NOTE: Your plants are shipped at a young age and will likely not have any developed flowers. It is normal to not have fully-developed flowers during the first full season of plant growth.

Refunds and exchanges are only given if the plant sustains damage beyond wilting/transplant shock or severe breakage of stems. We are not responsible for the condition of the plant after you receive it, as we do everything possible to prepare your plant for safe shipment. Please message me immediately upon receiving your plant and take a photo of the entire plant in and out of packaging. Refunds are only given if we receive an image proving significant broken stem damage, substantial loss of leaves (i.e. no more than 4 leaves remaining) or proving that the plant has been thrown out of its container.
