Sideoats Grama is a staple of native prairie landscapes throughout the country and is one of the few grass species native to the US that flowers with purple and orange blooms in the late summer months.

Sideoats Grama provide cover for pollinators and prop up flower stems due to their dense and rigid structure. They are also a host plant to many Skipper butterfly species.
