Tall Larkspur is the native perennial version of the popular flowering plant, Delphinium. These plants are poisonous to deer, rabbits, and other herbivores, so they make for a good pest-deterrent. They attract bees and hummingbirds with their bright purple blooms during July and August.
The Delphinium exaltatum is found natively throughout the Midwestern US starting around the Missouri River to the Atlantic coast. They typically do grow best in full sun in zones 4-8, however, they also do not do well in conditions with extremely hot and direct sun, so make sure that your plants are receiving sun in the morning and potentially the early afternoon.
You will be purchasing 3, 3" plastic pot containing 3, well-rooted Tall Larkspur plants with 1+ nodes of growth that was grown with love in Minnesota from seed. We will try and provide plants with multiple nodes, but it may vary depending on availability. Pictures on this listing are not perfectly representative to what you will be receiving, however, we will do our best to get you the healthiest plant possible.
